Introduction to templates and how to make them into real files to edit in your ftp. Installing extensions and making the URL’s in Expression Engine cleaner.

Today I wanted to get into the first steps i take after i install EE. The first thing i do is set up so that my templates are real php files. Don’t get held up by the php… you can paste normal html inside so you do NOT need to know php to use this. This enables you to access through your ftp or using dreamweaver. Then i will go over making the links in ee cleaner, by default EE will need /index.php/ to access your template groups. Every template group can be accesses by using the /Group_Name/File_Inside_Group.

Managing Templates, and making them into real files in your ftp that you can edit.
