Saying that “tuts” is envato brand is like saying “tricks” is brand of css-tricks.com just because it’s a popular blog. You’re watching too much conspiracy theories documentaries and movies…

Yes they both start with “En”. I did find that interesting when i joined that network, didn’t find it to be a copy of “Envato” but just a similarity. And “Enavu” sounds cooler… I’m not the creator or the designer of Enavu, i’m just a part of that network for a bit over a month (TutsValley is old 5 months).

I hope so too. New Logos and a new designs are already in preparations for all the “Enavu” sites just because some of you think this whole enavu and tutsvalley thing is planned to be a copy of envato, but neither did i know about enavu when i created tutsvalley neither did the creator of enavu know about tutsvalley when he created it.

And now, the truth:
1) Brownish header color – Brown isn’t restricted just to Nettuts. There are many sites that use brown in header and they doesn’t like Nettuts.

2) Categories – Nobody said that categories shouldn’t be there. It’s natural that they go to header, but again, because of the header, navigation seems to resemble the original.

3) Breadcrumbs – Same thing as categories.

4) There are a lot of sites using that scheme (header on top, content left, sidebar left…) – and they doesn’t look like Nettuts.

Conclusion:
– You made (ripped-of) a design of great web-development site. You are using same colors, same layout and there are just too many design elements that looks the same. The only difference I see is that Nettuts is using sans-serif font while you are using serif font.

1) Brownish header color ( well, i know that only nettuts is allowed to use brown color but i used it anyway)
2) The categories are listed on the same place (i shouldn’t have put categories, you should guess the urls)
3) Breadcrumbs ( i knew i should have put them in the footer )
4) Has header on top, posts on left, sidebar on right, ohh wait i have a blog, forget about this one.

If i used blue or any other color for the header i bet you wouldn’t make that comment.
